Clutch Group, a global provider of legal solutions, has been named in Dun & Bradstreet’s 2008 list of India’s Top ITeS and BPO Companies. The annual publication, which highlights the major achievements in the sector as well as its major growth drivers, is an important resource for major corporations considering their outsourcing opinions.

In an interview with Dun & Bradstreet, Clutch Group CEO Abhi Shah shared his thoughts on the emerging LPO industry in India and Clutch Group’s success despite the global economic crisis. “LPO companies have a critical role to play in the current economic environment; both corporations and law firms will increasingly look to them to increase efficiency and reduce costs,” he said. “Clutch Group is ideally situated to fill this role… As we move forward, we will continue to maintain our market leadership by focusing on scaling our operations, while working closely with our clients to serve their growing legal needs in turbulent times.”

The report’s listing parameters were employee size, revenue, industry verticals, and locations, while further information was gathered from a variety of sources including industry associations, government agencies, and business directories.

In addition to showcasing the top performers in the industry, the fourth edition of the survey also gives insight into the future growth of the ITeS and BPO sectors. Specifically, the report echoed Shah’s implication that LPOs are uniquely positioned to thrive in the current economic climate.

“Opportunities do exist in the form of emerging verticals such as KPOs, LPOs, and EPOs,” Dun & Bradstreet CEO Manoj Vaish wrote. “Globally, outsourcing is now a critical part of a company’s strategy for cost saving, flexibility, operational excellence and reliability for achieving higher growth and profitability.”
