In DC, Clutch employees boxed and sorted packaged foods for the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB). The CAFB partners with different agencies and organizations to provide hungry DC metropolitans with meals. In the time that Clutch volunteered, employees sorted about 18,000 pounds of food, which is the equivalent of nearly 22,000 meals.
In New York, Clutch employees volunteered at Leftover Cuisine, an organization that collects leftover food items from different restaurants in the city and delivers them to different shelters. Teams braved rainy weather to deliver hot meals to several homeless shelters around the city.
London employees partnered with The Conservation Volunteers, which helps to reclaim and restore local green spaces around the UK. They worked in a park near the London Zoo, where teams were in charge of clearing banks of canals, creating wildlife habitats, building environmentally friendly fencing, and refurbishing meadows. All of the team’s hard work will have positive effects on plant and animal life in the park for the next several years.
The Chicago team joined thousands of other attorneys and legal professionals in the 20th Annual Race Judicata, a race benefiting the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Organization (CVLS). The organization offers 22 free legal clinics to thousands of low-income Chicagoans to make the legal system accessible to everyone. One of our very own team members finished the race just three minutes after the overall race winner.
This quarter’s volunteer events were extremely successful and we’d like to thank all of our Clutch teams for turning these events into such great accomplishments. We’re excited to partner with different community service organizations next quarter and to get the Clutch Family involved in their work.
