What’s New in iManage Work 10.2?
The developers at iManage continue to enhance the Work product line at the speed of light. Having already completed our own internal upgrade to the 10.2 platform, I wanted to share a few new and noteworthy features which I truly enjoy and make life easier for busy professionals.
Sorting. While the original iManage Work Professional client was a consumerized, friendly and intuitive interface, this key feature from DeskSite and FileSite was mysteriously missing. While you could filter documents by type, author and date range, the earlier versions of Work did not include the sort function. Now, located in the top right corner of the 10.2 client, sorting has been returned for your organization pleasure. For example, you can sort documents by name or edit/create date, and when viewing emails you can sort by received date, filed date, subject and to and from. The sorting function positions Work one step closer to a full replacement for the classic DeskSite and FileSite clients.
Conversation View Filing. While message thread viewing was available in prior versions of Work 10, iManage has now baked-in the option to permit saving of all messages in a conversation with a single click. From within the conversation view in Microsoft Outlook, simply select the conversation at the top level and quick file or browse to any workspace and voila!
Document Editing. My favorite new feature in 10.2 is streamlined document editing. In prior versions you had to either preview the document and click the pencil icon, or use the kabob icon on the right and then expand to select edit. In 10.2, simply double click the document name to edit the document in its native application and you’re good to go!
Good work iManage! We appreciate the attention to detail and the enhancements you continue to make to the market leading Enterprise Content Management system. We are waiting with baited breath to see what you have in store for us with the upcoming release of 10.3 in 2019.
